Michael Ray is a flamework artist who specializes in Dichroic Vortex Marbles and Sculptures. A Bay Area native, but Oregon grown creator, Michael has been innovating with his glasswork since the early 2000s. He became immersed in the burgeoning, borosilicate glassblowing scene, that sprouted from his hometown of Eugene Oregon. An area now nationally recognized as the the epicenter and roots of the contemporary glass blowing movement. Michael took to glassblowing quite naturally and over the course of his career, he has perfected his craft and become set apart. Now a well known artist from the Pacific Northwest, Michael Ray is considered to be one of the most talented dichroic flameworking glass artists in the country. His colorful and expressive pieces can be found in galleries coast to coast. Today, Michael quite possibly makes and sells more sea turtle sculptures than any other glassblower in the country.
